The paid Thomas R. Wolanin Congressional Internship provides first-generation and low-income college graduates of a TRIO program the opportunity to observe and participate first-hand in the federal policymaking process through an experience on Capitol Hill.

The Donna and Dan Connell Leadership Award honors two individuals who gave unstintingly to others and invested much in the development of the leadership potential of TRIO professionals.  This award is given annually to TRIO educators to assist them in furthering their own education.

Keith Sherin Global Leaders Study Abroad


Keith Sherin Global Leaders Study Abroad

Established in 1999, the Keith Sherin Study Abroad program allows first-generation and low-income students and students with disabilities to study abroad. Each summer, COE selects twenty undergraduate TRIO program participants and two group leaders for the annual Keith Sherin Global Leaders Program overseas.
