NSLC 2020 – Application and Program Overview
For the last 30 years, COE has hosted the National Student Leadership Congress (NSLC) in Washington, DC -- an immersive leadership experience for high school participants from TRIO’s Talent Search, Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math-Science programs. This six day event brings together nearly 200 students from across the United States and its territories and includes hands-on leadership development workshops; diversity and inclusion training; meetings with federal policymakers; visits to historical and cultural sites; and a Mock Congress that allows students to debate hotly contested issues of the day.  You can view a video about NSLC here:  https://youtu.be/Nm8dhGOHTlk. The 2020 National Student Leadership Congress will be held at Georgetown University and will begin on Saturday June 13th and will conclude on Thursday June 18th. Past student participants have described this as a transformative experience that has connected them with other TRIO students and professionals. This webinar will provide a program overview of National Student Leadership Congress, including the nomination process, the student application process and the program agenda.
