Evaluation 101: Let COE Help You Demonstrate Program Effectiveness   This pre-conference session helps TRIO professionals develop best practices for equitable program evaluation using principles from The Pell Institute’s Equitable Evaluation Toolkit. The session offers an overview of evaluation and goes beyond standard practice to introduce how evaluation data can be used to drive program advocacy and improvement. Participants should attend ready to think about their program context to create a working evaluation plan that emphasizes program improvement and student outcomes (e.g., engagement, retention, and learning). By using equity as a central lens, participants approach evaluation through a more inclusive process and generate data that can help close equity gaps for their students. Participants will receive a physical copy of the Equitable Evaluation Toolkit to use in their programs.
