Going Beyond Your Program Objectives
It is easy for TRIO programs to get lost in the world of mandatory services and meeting objectives. While these are important, TRIO also knows that being truly successful with a student often does not follow a prescribed plan. Through this session our presenters will focus on non-cognitive student development (think growth mindset, resilience, goal setting, etc.) and discuss how TRIO staff can engage their participants in deeper ways to shift their thinking, fostering a lifetime of success, which in turn will ultimately support your program objectives. This training is appropriate for both college and pre-college program staff.
