A Guide to Supporting Community College Student Success
College students have unique needs and experiences based on their journey to postsecondary education. Some students want to break generational barriers, and others want to increase employment opportunities. Community college students face unique challenges based on age, socio-economic, and experience diversity. Understanding community college students’ needs and providing essential support services to address their challenges is vital for Student Support Services hosted at community colleges. To promote successful outcomes, TRIO practitioners must develop a holistic approach beyond traditional academics.
